Social Success Networking Events' "READY FOR THE ROAD" Miami Carnival Networking Edition

Hey Bunnies,

This Sunday, August 24th, myself, along side F.McKenzie of Studio 1812 Photography, had the pleasure of covering Social Success Networking Events', "READY FOR THE ROAD" Miami Carnival Networking Edition. Now what this basically was, was a platform, held at the gorgeous Lush Fusion Grill, for creative minds to showcase their work and allow you the chance to interact with them while getting yourself prepared for carnival season. There were a handful of makeup artists showing off their skills, doing carnival makeup on some of the attendants. There were costume designers, hair stylist, wellness coaches, clothing companies, an author, a massage and skin therapy company, a mommy support group, jewelry designers, a self defense company, a hdebit card company and my personal favorite a GORGEOUS mobile boutique!

I of course went around and introduced myself to all the vendors and also saw a couple people who I've worked with on a few other events. All the vendors where so excited to talk about their company and the products they had to offer.

The first table I stopped at was SolTara. They were offering free 5-10 minute massages! Their company provides a monthly membership plan which gives you any one of their listed services at a discounted rate. Their tag line is refresh, relax, rejuvenate. If you happen to be short on time and need a quick pick me up in between meetings or while on lunch, they also offer an amazing de-stress treatment. You get a full 50 minute stress relieving massage on your scalp neck and shoulders plus the Soltara foot treatment all with your clothes ON!

The next booth we stopped at, I was particularly excited about because it was a support group for new and single moms. The name of the company is Play Dates With Purpose. They have meetings twice a month and every month they have a different theme. You are encouraged to bring your kids and have a play date. Their official launch event will be in October and they've already locked down a couple amazing sponsors including Herbalife and L.A. Fitness who will be giving away memberships at the event. Their tag line is "Building long lasting relationships one mother at a time".

The third booth was Dkors Event Planning & Rentals. They provide everything you need for a successful event (wedding, birthday, etc.) from table rentals to planning and decorating your entire event space. They also provide treats, such as candy apples and cake pops which were both on display and available to sample. I had one of their cake pops and it was so good!

The next booth was ran by a woman had gone through a divorce and chose to turn her situation or realization into a brand. Her name is Sonya, and the name of her company is S.O.N.Y.A, which stands for Someone Needs Your Attention. She had the most amazing spirit she had such a glow and genuine enthusiasm while telling me about her brand. She makes lingerie sets, t-shirts and shot glasses. (I purchased a shot glass)

The next booth was a gorgeous jewelry display for Traci Lynn Jewelry. Everything was on trend, glamorous, and hand deigned by local Ft. Lauderdale native Traci Lynn. The jewelry consultant who was there, Lulu Orange,  was very knowledgeable and amazing to talk to. (I purchased a pair of earrings)

Next we stopped at one of the more popular booths, R&D Self Defense. This company was created by Rene who had a friend who was attacked in an elevator and it gave her the idea to provide women with glam, non suspecting, self defense items. A personal fave was the iPhone stun gun! She had an array of items such as the comb, pen and lipstick knife. The iPhone and lipstick stun gun. As well as key chain knuckle rings. (I purchased a knuckle ring)

The next booth was for Pretty Couture Dope Apparel. They started out designing and making pretty t-shirts that complimented each new Jordan release. They've since expanded into making their own signature tees with their hash tag #PrettyAssGirls, Pretty Couture, Lipstick Junkie and Money Sex Makeup just to highlight a few. They also have hats and dresses. (I purchased a Money Sex Makeup t-shirt)

I had the best green tea I've ever had from the next vendor, Organo Gold. The barista who was there was well versed in telling me about the company. They are known for their world famous "Healthier Coffee". They also make hot chocolate and an array of teas. The company currently operates in over 35 countries on six continents.

I then visited Nathe Gems. This company carries handmade jewelry made by creative designer Barbra Mcfarlane. She spent most of her life as a pharmacist, running her own business until she retired. Soon after she turned her passion of making gorgeous beaded jewelry into a business.

Glitz N Glam Boots was one of the featured vendors at the event. They specialize in customizing boots and accessories for carnival, but if you wanted something customized for literally anything else like a wedding or birthday, it can be done. This company, like many others I've mentioned earlier started out as a hobby and became a successful business.

The next person I spoke to, before she had to run on stage to do her presentation was Terri Jackson Carson, a wellness coach who talked to us about how caring for yourself starts from the inside out. That internal health, spiritual health is the beginning stages to a better life, a healthier life. She had her partner walk around the room with a survey to identify the underlying "illnesses", for lack of a better word, that we have that we don't know we have based on things like cracked feet for example.

The last person I spoke to was the owner of the chic-est mobile boutique. When I tell you everything was perfection, I am not exaggerating. She had shelves, a gorgeous mirror in the dressing room, a vintage inspired light fixture, an actual check out area, display lighting, and while it was small it packed a lot of punch! Everything was as unique as the boutique itself. And while I've only been in one other mobile boutique, this by far is my favorite. The name of this boutique is Twisted Vintage. The owner is a vintage loving, trend mixing, go-getter who started only in March this year. I was in awe of how much she accomplished in such a short span of time. They also offer personal styling from your closet, private parties, truck rental and personal shopping.

The event came to an end with a mini carnival showcase. It was. I'm looking forward to the next Social Success event.
